Artwork by Virginia Cuthbert (1908-2001). Born in West Newton, Pennsylvania, she earned a BFA from Syracuse University, also studied in Paris at Grande Chaumiere, the Academy Colarossi and in England at the Chelsea Polytech Institute. From 1942 to 1954, she was an instructor at Albright Art School and University of Buffalo, and from 1954 to 1966 at the State University of New York in Buffalo.
